Darren, The Taleban is a relic of the Wadi era. Arabs are prone to this kind of situation as they are religiously immature and have no independence of thought where religion is concerned. In the Taleban areas you are watched at all times and must do public prayers 5 times a day. You are not allowed to opt out. Anyone who does not is whipped etc.

When the Taleban came to town earlier they were the people's hope against many armed gangs, and for a while it worked. The the T men clamped down, no TV, no radio, women controlled outside, women not allowed to work. By then the people were in their grip and wanted out. that is why the NA wiped them out so rapidly.

Now the arab world hates the T men and does no support them any more. even the people in other islamic areas are anti T men.
