Hi DavesM, Re: I believe, Israel has two anti missile systems deployed right now, the Patriot (I believe we're up to generation III), and the Arrow. There is a very interesting passage in John R. MacArthur's "Second Front" amazon.com regarding the fact that during the Gulf War, it appeared to honest observers that Iraqi SCUD missiles intercepted by Patriots caused more damage to Israeli neighborhoods than did SCUDs that landed unintercepted. A delicious irony for Raytheon to turn its propaganda, (er, sorry, what was I thinking?) its public relations "folks" loose on. Sorry about that slip. I meant no harm. Folks, that's it, that's a much better way to tawk, now isn't it? Connecting with the common element of the electorate who haven't become so alienated from the process as to drop out, or those of us on the intelligent fringes of our society who aren't in on the corruption of the system for our own benefit. I.e. have't sold out to the corporate oligopolists. Though, I've got a price, and it's negotiable. I'll shut up about what a travesty American governance has become if someone would simply offer enough hush money..... Re: The United States, because of its large land mass (and distance from a possibly hostile nuclear power) would not be well served by a relatively short range system like the Patriot or Arrow.
