Hill Has Bill on Short Leash?
Wednesday Nov. 21, 2001; 10:07 a.m. EST

New York Senator Hillary Clinton is apparently taking no chances with her wayward husband while he's out on the road, evidently ordering him to check in via telephone lest he stay out past curfew.

"Bill Clinton, who breezed through Boston this week, opted out of ogling babes at Whiskey Park and having sax at Limbo the other night to scurry up to his hotel room," reports the Boston Herald's Inside Track gossip column Wednesday.

Monica Lewinsky's former boyfriend allegedly told one Boston admirer that he wouldn't be able to party on at "the female-filled Whiskey Park.... (because he was) going upstairs to ring up someone named Hill who..... probably monitors his whereabouts like he's a horny teenager!"

While Clinton turned down the chance to play sax at the local jazz club, he couldn't resist basking in the glow of his post-presidential celebrity status with patrons at another eatery.

The Democratic Party's fearless leader reportedly went table-to-table greeting diners after getting their standing ovation at Olives in Charlestown.

"Word is, Clinton could have slipped in the side entrance for his 'Townie feed, skipping the meet-and-greet," says Inside Track. "But he insisted on walking through the front door and the rest of the restaurant. Can you say 'attention starved?'"
