The other issue is capital budgets. When do the different companies start their Fiscal Years? When times are tight, good managers will get their orders in ASAP so it can be someone else's capital budget that gets cut should that be required... HWP and Agilent just started their FY2002 this month so you might see these companies putting in their orders.... if they can get the management chain to sign off...

of course, it is always a risk to jump the gun, but nobody gets rich buying stuff when everyone wants it and knows it is a sure thing... I keep remembering "Look at Potter, he's buying!" when I try to make money over the long term.
