--A discouraging year now, though.--

what do you mean discouraging?

right at this very moment, they're looking playoff-bound. they beat denver and split with the raiders. before this year started i was going to predict no more than 6 wins. as it is now, they could end up going 10-6 or something!!

i was going to predict no more than 2 wins against the afc west. now it looks like they could just possibly go 7-1 in the division!!!

in my opinion this is holmgren's best year so far.

my problem with holmgren is his inflexibility. chuck knox would have come in here and won in the first year with the talent erickson had left him. chuck knox could make winners out of any player set. it seems holmgren has to have a specially groomed set of players, at least on offense.

i'm enjoying this year but it doesn't keep me from wondering how it would be with ahman green at rb, huard at qb, and the offense running alot and huard throwing mostly medium fades or long passes. you see, if that had happened the seahawks would have more key defensive players or another wideout to go with robinson and jackson on offense.

as it is, it looks like this alexander kid is an elite back so i don't hold that against holmgren too much. the thing with hasselbeck versus is huard is simple; i never much liked the west coast offense, and huard has a really good arm. huard has the best arm of the 3 qbs on the team. huard was a husky!

i would like to see an old-style raiders offense with huard at the helm.

i don't think anyone runs the fullback any more. van eegan was a trip.... never had a longer run than 20 yards in his career... adjusted his shoulder pads after every play.

<<Rams injuries are hard to take, but we do have depth. >>

where is the depth ???

even with the injuries, the defense today is still better than a year ago ...
now that Warner and Faulk is healthy, the offense will start to carry the team ...
