My, isn't that funny.... WOOF! woof, woof!

VCA Antech IPO lacks bite Shares fall from reduced price

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- VCA Antech proved to be a dog in early action Wednesday, falling nearly 10 percent from its already reduced offering price.

Shares of VCA Antech (WOOF: news, chart, profile) dropped 88 cents to $9.12 on volume of 5.51 million shares after its underwriters had to cut the price of the IPO by nearly 30 percent in the face of weak demand.

VCA Antech, which operates 214 animal hospitals, priced its 14 million share IPO at $10 a share, the bottom end of its recently revised range. It plans to use net proceeds to repay debt.

Ah so, no more "marketing expenses"?
