Dave,

XP doesn't crash, at least not from my experience.

Has anyone here had any problems with XP freezing or crashing?

ROFLMAO! Yes, I say that whenever my system freezes up.

But now I've got my systems set up with software (with my data in it) that is Windows compatible and not Mac compatible.

If I have to upgrade and it requires new software, I may go Macs next time (it would require me to fiddle with the home networking and I'm highly unlikely to be in the mood, so even then it's not likely). I have a feeling, that the software I have will be compatible with whatever comes after XP. Only if there is SIGNIFICANT improvement in the applications I use, would I consider buying new software.

As far as believing that XP is more stable than what I've got: Heard that before. Maybe this time it's different, but it's still not a reason for me to upgrade, whatsoever. The freezes that I have are not enough of a problem to get me to change anything I have.

Maybe with the next OS, whenever that is.
