Tim, Thanks, I get the idea, the delay in doing this makes DRAM inherently slower than SRAM, so it is forever relegated to tasks where it's density of data storage is the strength they use it for.
That explains why the super computers have these banks of ecl SRAM.
I will hunt up some sites to get a better explanation.
