Who are you to meddle in the affairs of other people's governments? And to meddle in favor of ruthless dictators? That's what we did in supporting Saddam in Iraq, and that's what we did in supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan. We don't need constructive ideas as long as we can simply eliminate the destructive ideas. Addition by subtraction. Something needs to be done given his WMD development efforts. Something is being done. Inspectors have been in Iraq for many years now. The programs that were flourishing when we were not worried about them in the 1980s are now either suffering or defunct. By the way, maybe when all is said and done in Afghanistan, we will install the government which the USSR was trying to keep from being overthrown by fanatics back in 1979. Tom
