Tim, Re: sources of information on semiconductors

tcmay mentioned Scientific American and it can be searched online at:

sciam.com (search is on upper left corner)

The top 10 (of about 100) hits for "semiconductor" include a bookmark to the "Britney Spears's Guide to Semiconductor Physics." <g> I didn't look at the hits but it might be a start. Library catalog searches are also generally available online and I am just rediscovering libraries (with my young daughter) after many years and find it nice to be able to borrow a specific title or just browse and find something different. Most of the local libraries will also allow online holds and mail you the book (for $2) if you wish. Online renewals are also nice but I haven't learned this trick yet so make some involuntary contributions which they assure me go towards additional acquisitions. <g>
