This is CH's original fictional scenario. I posted the link and bolded the scenario in the summary post I made to you, actually. In my summary post to you I also provided my intuition, which is similar to yours, I see, about what sent CH into the fantasy scenario containing the lie about Poet. Message 16682698 Here is an excerpt from the above in which I attempt to offer an emotional explanation for CH's continuing disreputable behavior in this matter: "Maybe you are very worried about your son, and that is a true excuse. It's humanly understandable to wish those who question the wisdom or rightness of your son's choices, and of those of the Commander in Chief, would shut up. You know your son is brave, you believe the cause is just, and you don't want to hear it. I sometimes want people who take the Katha Pollitt/Oliver Stone positions, or variations thereon, to shut up, too. Actually, I don't think you should discontinue taking people to task for calling dissenters traitors. What is overlooked becomes accepted and what is accepted comes to seem normal. Once it is normal in America for dissent to be equated with treason.... The beautiful part of our country's story is over.
