Unfortunately, yours is the opinion of all too many people who come here to discuss inanities, but not news related to the SCE sector. Someone else will need to take over my position; I am through! Brian

Please post these news bits to a General post or to yourself as it takes many clicks to make the red "new mail" inbox go away. Kirk

Kirk is just asking that you not use the "Respond" link on an article he has posted to post a new news article. Doing this causes the post to show up in his mailbox, as well as in the general message list. There used to be a simple mechanism to post a message to yourself, but I don't see a link that does that on the present screen.

Sorry to hear you are giving up posting the news as I found the articles interesting. Feel free to respond to my messages for new postings as I don't read my mail. ;-)

Sid

Brian, I appreciate the time and effort you take to post SCE sector news here. I hope you will reconsider and keep contributing.

I think you may have misunderstood Kirk's request. I suspect the issue may simply be that he reads posts by using the "View Next 10 Messages" tab which does not automatically remove them from his "inbox" after they are read. He then must go back and click through each message to clear his inbox. I can't imagine he was indicating any non-interest in the great information you provide to the thread.

In any case, please don't stop.

this explains it well:

I have to do this one by one and it is very, very slow unless I am at home with DSL. Even then, I have some RSI pain and I really try to minimize mouse clicks to keep the pain down. (I gave up IC design as a career to stop clicking the mouse so often.) Typing is not a problem but clearing a bunch of messages in the inbox can actually be painful.

Sorry for the misunderstanding

BTW, your news messages are one of the main reasons I read these AMAT/LRCX threads... I am about to unbookmark the old AMAT thread as it is far too much trader talk these days.

Namaste (reverence to the divine within you).

Brian, I don't know if you meant it when you said you were through, or if you are just taking a break for the long weekend, gathering your wits, or whatever. In any case I know I speak for many when I say that your efforts over the years have been greatly appreciated.

If you decide not to return, what do you plan on doing with all that spare time? <g>
