They'll get something alright... they'll get re-elected. They enjoy lots of money (your federal taxes fuel their economy), little oversight (the national scene dominates attention), and little or no consequences for irresponsible and probably unconstitutional action. Their most recent gun eradication initiative, to cut off all funds to the local county fairgrounds if it continues to allow gun shows which have been held there for decades without incident, was just struck down by a federal judge.
