Are there really lawyers so risk-tolerant that they would work with Rambus and advise the officers?

Participation in a fraud pierces the lawyer client priviledge. And there is a whole army of suits lined up.

(1) If you look around, it's easy to find a lawyer who will tell you exactly what it is you want to hear, provided that you pay him a retainer.

(2) Rambus management doesn't have a very good history on listening to their lawyers anyway. Their guy was telling them to get out of JEDEC meetings and they ignored him.
