With regards to Intel, I believe Intel has too little debt in its capital structure. Instead of financing utilizing their cash, I believe Intel should take advantage of these low interest rates and issue debt.

Dave, I can see some recovery in flash as well as CPU sales(???) alleviating these problems. Do not forget we are in a market decline that hit both. Intel is bigger and can resist it a lot better, smaller companies have that problem versus big ones.
I expect AMD to make $100M from flasy oin the next 2 quarters and CPU sales will bring in ?? This quarter ending on 31Dec should also be profitable due toe Intel P-4 scarcity.

AMD is at risk, and might go belly up if the hammer flops, so a lot rides on it.
As to new facuilities, possibly they are thinking oPF(other people's fabs) in their taiwan deal.
