"It's hard to squeeze all this into a paragraph or two" but you did a pretty good job. Nicely stated! Like you, I prefer an open forum that is wide-ranging enough that it can be an understanding of Islam, AND any other path (in their parallel natures). I have tried to suggest that the core of any Teaching is its esoteric aspects, and I have asked people here to talk about the esoteric aspects of Islam (I don't know enough myself to do so). That would enable me to contribute the parallel information from my path. And others could do the same from their particular Way. Such a discussion would actually enable a greater understanding of Islam (as well as the whole greater subject). I disagree with the point of view espoused by IGIT, that we should stick to the stated thread subject (rigidly). That, to me will result in either: -- putting Islam on the "whipping post" -- defending Islam against the Infidel I would say there is already enough of both. Namaste! Jim
