there's a lot of talk about holmgren here. a couple of dudes i know don't like him. both are very different people but don't like him.

my dad loves the guy.

i was trying to explain to him about ahman green and he said that whoever wanted to be here was now here.

maybe dad had a point but chuck knox would have won with green.

here was one tidbit about knox; every time the seahawks had 1st down between the 40s they went with a bomb on first down.

anyway, holmgren is an open case in my opinion. he still has some time; but not the kind of time he had 3 years ago.

i was crushed after that k.c. loss. then they battled back to 6-5. when the pats were 6-5 a week ago everyone was talking about them. i guess it should be the seahawks' turn now.. 7-4 would be a lot better but 6-5 is good enough for now.

in my opinion this is holmgren's biggest game. beat denver and sweep the season series and wow... i don't think anyone has done that since knox.

7-5 with kc, san diego, dallas, and the giants as 4 of your last 5 games, and things are looking interesting.

holmgren - or someone - has to make seattle forget about knox.

the one thing holmgren needs to do is to get the ball deep. i was going to write about this last week - had a huge posting typed up then aborted - but found out that there was concern about defensive pressure on 7-step drop pass plays.

it seems to me that a way of getting around that is to run quick fades; 30-40 yard throws that are thrown early to a sprinting wideout.

huard can throw a fade. he has the best arm of the qbs.

i would like to see hobert get another shot. hopefully the leaf thing will work out in dallas too.
