We have about a half dozen old red clay pots which we just faux painted to get rid of the rust.. Take an old pot scrub it good.. paint it with some housepaint like a gold then faux paint it with a sponge a slightly lighter color in the same family..you vcan use a third color like a white if you want.. Those old broken down pots now look new...shoudllast another 2/3 years. We put begonias in them in the summer.. Impatiens in the winter.. We put the pots under trees and in the walkway leading to the house. I have a butterfly garden a lot of heliconias under 3 really big Cocconut palms.. and assorted other plants and beds. Once a month I peters the whole thing..2/3 times a year I osmocote. We ahve a spray and fertilizer guy comes in every other month..and I have a Jamican pruner guy who works on a Sunday like 4 days a year... On my pool deck I have a potting bench I had built from a $3 set of directions by a carpenter..It holds Orchid pots and the like. Other than eveything is in the ground.... Have a lot of ginger...varigated and red and white.. Anyway now you have the picture.<gg>
