We all look for different cues to help us define our position. I watch for pezz to jump on the bandwagon of objecting to the sanctions against innocent Iraqi villagers. Then, I will question whether or not my position is soundly based on principle...or just in style...<ggg>

I'm not.
I am saying that suppression of the right to dissent - in this case, by castigating as a traitor anyone who does not blindly support your view (which is in turn a form of the most hawkish govt view) - runs directly counter to American ideals.
There is a difference.
