I did point out that the pixie saga started off as pure whimsy, not intended to be mocking anyone... if you don't think the original proposition was sufficiently bizarre to be ridiculous, that's a shame.

Also, note that I use sarcasm in these cases not at those who believe something, per se; obviously I can't challenge someone's belief. It's their mind. If they assert that their belief holds true over me, or who seek to recast what I understand as scientific or historical fact in a style I cannot accept, then I counter. Even then, if they're seriously and politely argued, without seeking to patronise, denigrate or condemn me, I respond courteously. I do hold that beliefs can change with sufficient application of logic and reason - even I have changed, sometimes...
Or, equally, if they're witty back - I enjoy that, too.
But if they put forward views which seem to me worthy of ridicule... I may play. It's how I am. And if I'm in the mood, yes it is fun.

But I will not necessarily shy away from people who insist on making themselves targets. And (regardless of title) this is still the BR... I except personal attacks, but if you put views here you can expect them to be challenged.

BTW, I'm definitely on the atheist side of agnostic. I don't believe there is any God, but I can't prove its non-existence...
(I don't know about godlike beings, somewhere, somewhen - I just don't believe any have had any influence on this planet or mankind).
