I used the phrase "in the guise of constructive criticism". Does this mean that there is no such thing as constructive criticism? No. My interpretation was that you thought that all commentary on the war that is framed as constructive criticism was just a guise. Since a characteristic of the uncomplicated-patriotism camp seems to be the inability to differentiate between criticism and constructive criticism and since you've been in apologist mode today, my interpretation seems appropriate in context. I have never once considered you incapable of or unwilling to draw fine distinctions. Except perhaps between atheists and nihilists... <g> Karen
