But that was pretty evolved for the time-frame to realize that the sun was a source of heat. I wouldn't say this needs great advancement... cats do it fairly well. But I wasn't talking about 'then' anyhow... I was arguing for and about the now. In (say) 5000BC my preferred argument would be the one ridiculed... or certainly not the one likely to be accepted and understood, anyhow. I hold that our knowledge has advanced since then, even if it has rather diminished the scope for superstition, mystery and fun...
