Beamer - Re: "I think that's just the point Steve was trying to make. He was saying that since the logo was green, that X-Box was meant for an AMD processor"

Huh?

18 months have gone by - AMD LOST the XBOX contract and the AMDroids STILL can't get over it - as if their manifest destiny had been ripped off by Satan !

And now we have Intel making money - with XBOX sales appearing to be EXCELLENT - and AMD losing money - with no OEM customers.

The Droids are hitting the panic button.

Paul

There are certain truisms in marketing. One, for example, is never use black packaging for food products (might imply spoiled/rancid). In most places, green signals GO and speed and movement/progress. Red the opposite, stop/blood/damage.

Picking Green for X-Box makes a ton of sense given what they are trying to market. This is another case where the most obvious answer is probably correct. Though next in line is mere coincidence. Beyond that it's a sad stretch for the Droidians.
