Yes, we are the same species as 1500 years ago, but we are a different society and civilization. My argument is that what was once 'accepted' frames of reference for how we treat each other (friends, family, colleagues, even enemies) is different now than then. I therefore find it hard to live life by any interpretation of any religion that was documented 1500 years (or more) ago. I am referring to 'Rules of Living' as set out by many religions, and not the concepts of love, respect, compassion which transcends time. pbwy - peace be with you hkl
