OT: True. Although I was thinking the other day that with all the fundamentalist religious fervor "suddenly" coming to light in the world, along with the advent of bioterrorism, his novel Kalki is sort of prescient.

JRI: I couldn't have said it any better. However, I doubt anyone aside from the Italy Communist Party care what Vidal is saying. I would bet that most Italians find him equivalent irrelevant, the white answer to Jesse Jackson, always trying to say something ludicrous to attain his 15 minutes of "fame" every other month.
