its all relative.....in the summer of 87...there were those who called the rise parabolic....there were those who called the rise from 1000 to 10000 in the nikei parabolic...and off course they were parabolic relative to wat preceded them......if you were there in the fall of 87....the finest minds (supposedly) compared the rally to the 2700 peek with 1929 and subsequent crash as the end of the bull market for years to come...of course the bear market label was pasted to the stock market within hours of the low and it stuck for a few years.....and ur statement " Certainly having an economy that is primarily services is unprecedented and its behavior
and consequences to the stock market hard to predict long term."....was typical of wat most thot after the rise from 87 began.....remember even christopher columbus was surrounded by those that wanted his hed....lol....not to be cornfused with zeev.s...lol....if i were to have told u in the fall of 87 that the dow wud reach 10000 and most wud hate it and there would still be an industry devoted to keeping most out of the market u wud have thot I was nutz.....well here we are...and most still think im nutz...rolf....
