Well the Euro dropped from 0.881 to 0.8735 close before noon. Then a short cover rally occurred IMHO. In any case it was a strange action. The Euro hovers around 0.88 for over a week now.

The war in Afghanistan is positive for the clown buck and also it seems that Europe will recover slower than the US even that Europe did not enter recession, but Germany will by next quarter according to FT of today.

It is very dicey I think. Add to that a bit of fear due to the paper currency introduction and may be the fundamentals will catch with the Euro next year.

I clustered with Euro options around 0.87 to 0.885 hope the € will be lower or at the same level by mid next month.
