Via the ISI. And the Northern Alliance (the "good guys") is the major opium dealer now.

The $43 million in aid to the Taliban was almost entirely food and medical supplies. 30 plus nations and the UN provided relief in the last 5 years to Afghanistan - the droughts of the last decade significantly worsened the refugee crisis. There were also numerous attempts to pay off the Taliban to stem the opium trade.

So humanitarian assistance is the basis for Thomas M claiming America has been supporting the Taliban. The beauty of this lie (from the Chomskyite point of view) is that if America hadn't provided humanitarian assistance it could have been "criticized" for that heartlessness as well.

Also, there haven't been weapons inspectors in Iraq for 3 years.

That's bad, and should be changed. Was there anything in particular that prompted this?
