Thank you. So what you're saying is that if voice recognition becomes a de facto standard that is integrated into a future version of Windows as a basic OS feature that to match that capability on Linux will require the purchase of a licensed product from some vendor?

This really seems at variance with the "free" argument, but I'm not surprised. Developing major new OS capabilities like really good voice recognition requires a sustained and costly R&D effort which is unlikely to be given away. If that's true then I think this is one of the limits of open source.
