So if we are all wealthy individuals investing in companies that pay no dividends and hold the shares forever, do you propose the federal budget go to zero because NO TAXES are paid? Corporations as well as individuals should pay taxes unless all profits flow through to employees or shareholders. The key is the right amount of tax for all, the present system rewards mismanaged companies and high wealth individuals and corporations via the hundreds of tax loopholes created by lawyers to protect the rich at the expense of the middle class. A flat tax without deductions would result in a greater stronger more vibrant country and economy once the pain of taking away the excess is overcome
