Robert,

You've hit on a very touchy subject in Mass politics; Ted and Barney are in a drunken hissy fit (in that order) over Maryland's new smoking ordinance. Barney can't believe he didn't think of it first and Ted's office released the following statement; "I ummm think that ummm in the interest of fairness and ummm to ensure the equality of ummm the parties ummm involved that ummm the situation ummm must be ummm examined more closely in ummm regards to that end."

No doubt the offices of both men are now scrambling for new legislative proposals to reclaim our states leadership in "asinine legal initiatives." They definitely have their work cut out for them.

NM can only shake his head.

That simply cannot be topped. The only story I can think of that comes close is the one about the guy who bought a box of expensive Cuban cigars. He smoked them all and put in a claim to his insurance company for a fire loss. In court his claim was upheld and the insurance company was ordered to pay. They paid, but had the chap arrested for arson. He was convicted and went to the slammer.

Otherwise, you're still a chump.
