You are dead right... the fundamentals is what drives my overall viewpoint. I use technical analysis to suggest what the path will be that will take us to that final equilibrium. We are IMO in a technical rebound that could surprise many in how far it will move up. But I think the fundamentals will not get better for a long time.

The NASDAQ May 2001 high corresponds to A, Sep 2001 low to B and we are now in C. This is from Prechter's online tutorial on elliottwave.com - worth checking out.
