While it is true that Intel and AMD have a patent cross licensing agreement, I do not believe that the cross licensing agreement is a "broad" and "encompassing" one.

However, Intel has broad cross licensing agreements with NSM and IBM.

My rationale behind the "breadth" of the agreement with AMD is b/c when Intel switched to the Pentium 2, with Slot 1, AMD was forced to design their own bus architecture, instead of, technically, "cloning" their own Intel chip.

However, one could email IR of either company to ascertain whether, or not, Intel will pay royalties to AMD for the use of that particular technology.
