"In 1951, a close relative of the Mufti named Rahman Abdul Rauf el-Qudwa el-Husseini matriculated to the University of Cairo. The student decided to conceal his true identity and enlisted as "Yasser Arafat." LOL...I never heard that rumor before. Of course, if Arafat had such connections he would have been shouting them from the rooftops for forty years, not dropping these sly little rumors. The fact that he was born in Cairo has always been a political embarrassment for Yasser Arafat. It showed in his treatment of the late Faisal Husseini, who really was the Mufti's nephew. Arafat gave him control of Orient House but never let him into the Palestinian Authority; he was afraid to give a position of power to anyone that prominent. Sari Nusseibeh, the current lone voice of moderation among the Palestinians, is also of the same prominent old Jerusalem family stock.

Shuller has been one of the more proactive ministers in trying to foster Islamic-Christian approachment. And of all the tel-evangelists, he's one of the few that I reasonably trust to be a man of integrity (Billy Grahmn and his son are the others) I have changed. I was largely ignorant of Schuller. I liked Graham Sr. though, as he later admitted, his alliance with Nixon was in error. But Politically Incorrect blasted Graham Jr out of the water, pointing out his recent comments were blatantly racist, and I agree. Maybe he needs a decade or two of humility to reach his father's stature. And guys like Falwell & Robertson are mere carnys.
