Awwright! First you have to understand that going into this past season I felt that the Red Sox really had a chance to go all the way. Os, sure, I always feel that way...but this year was different. We had Manny Ramirez to hit in front of or behind Nomar. But most importantly we had a pitching staff that could match, maybe exceed, any other. And strong up the middle; a solid defensive catch in Jason Varitek. Nomar at short, a fellow we got from Cincy (I forget his name...but a solid second baseman and a terrific lead-off hitter. And Carl Everett in center, a bit of a head case but a hell of a fielder. And they all went down with injuries...and then Pedro too. It was too much, and threw me into a severe state of baseball depression. What was the question? Anyway, I liked your team from the start. I suspect too that that Ischiro was put in the top spot because he was a rookie, though anyone who say him play knew he was a "player"...he'll be moved back in the order this year so he can drive in more runs.
