Amazon's prices are no bargains. One can find better prices at brick and mortar stores. Also you can touch stuff before you buy and it's much easier to return.
During last several months Amazon has beer running big color insert ads in Sunday's LA Times. Their prices are higher than in ads from Fry's electronics and Best Buy.
Lately all my books I buy on half.com or used on Amazon. I'm using isbn.nu to obtain book prices from different web sites. One caveat: it doesn't check used prices on Amazon.
