No logic.. All linguistic.. If there is only one God and if most religions accept it, then only difference is in the name that has been given..

Interestingly only place I have seen Bhagvaan, Ishwar, Allah, Khuda, or a more generic Maalik etc. used at times interchangably is in indian cinema.. specially older movies.. That may have something to do with the fact that indian film industry was well represented by both hindus and muslims in terms of writers and poets.. Still the case but now it has become a bit more politicized and religion as a theme is out of fashion.. Old time film makers were a bit more sensitive..

"I actually wonder why different religions insist so much on their own Gods."

Because:

-- they arise through a great Teacher (man or woman)
-- who (typically) functions primarily in A society
-- the Teaching (or understanding of it) is reflective of
that society, to some degree.
-- Just as egos insist on their own identity, individual cultures emulate that by emphasizing their own separateness and distinctness.
-- consequently, the original Teaching gets BENT from what it was originally.

In other words, you can blame people, not God, for the religious mess that presently exists.

Namaste!
