Aw, c'mon, i've got socks that go back to the Carter administration, and there's no logic to them at all ... that's real weak as an argument - it is the very state of ignorance of the US public which helps to give this well-greased lobby their periodically resurging power, that is the problem ... well, one of the problems, there are more, for instance we've had, and still have from time to time, troubles with irrational greenie elements ...... go from Oregon north to southern Alaska, you'll find much the same .... for instance, somewhere around here i've got figures on the amount to which state of Washington timber on public lands is subsidised, an incredible figure ... it's all in how you figure in the road costs, reforesting costs, firefighting costs, forest service costs,. etc etc The name 'Carter' is on a level with cold spit here now, btw ... which is sad, he was the only US president worthy of anything resembling respect, since at least Kennedy, and maybe Roosevelt ... but he got sucked into fronting for that bunch of yaller-pine pushers from Snake City, he goes down in history now, way way down, with the Quislings You know me, i'm never emotional -g- .... you wanna come over and try justifying the wipe-out of this province? - feel free ... along the way, better come up with good excuses for Eisenhower stopping democratic elections in 1956 Viet Nam, cause that's part of the Big Picture, got to get the context ..... but don't hold your breath, i'll be eating for a while, then maybe sleeping -g- .... cháu
