The embryo that was cloned was done not for reproducing humans but to develop new stem cell lines. The government will not fund development of new stem cell lines.

Since the company cloning the embryo is privately funded, there are no government restrictions.

Development of new stem cell lines would aid development of new treatments for many diseases.

Hi Rick,

Yes, they have had some interesting volume the past couple weeks - think it has to do with the news that a private co. has cloned human embryos for stem cell research. Stem cell news will move these and GERN, CCEL, and others. However, I'm not expecting much at this point of the year - probably too many holders from earlier that would just love to cut their losses. BWDIK. I do have long term holdings in STEM, but dumped ASTM long time back - I've become adverse to < $1 stocks until the small caps and the general markets get a lot healthier (or irrationally exuberant <VBG>).
