Indeed. Slight difference you'll never hear about from Gus -- in Israel it's illegal to kill your wife even if you catch her in flagrante delicto. In Afghanistan, or Pakistan, or Jordan for that matter, it's either perfectly legal or you'll get a slap on the wrist at most. The most recent artile I read on Jordan said that there is usually no charge if the wife is clearly caught in adultery; and only a minor one if the husband just thought she was unfaitful, e.g. he found her talking to another man.
