Fed's Poole says he sees the beginnings of an economic rebound. They probably are finished cutting; especially with the recent smash in bond prices. Treasury saying the same thing. Bearish for the very highly valued stock market from a contrarian standpoint.

I find that logic difficult to understand in this environment. Companies have been laying off employees and getting leaner for several months.

That means a uptick in business will lead to significant profit increases. IMHO, your argument makes sense in the middle of a long running bull market when the FED is trying to slow down the economy. However, in this market an economic recovery is good for the stock market.

I guess that is why you call it a "contrarian" viewpoint.<g>
