It helped me appreciate though why we have all the slogan campaigning as opposed to detailed deliberation.


It is sad but people are divided so strictly along party lines that if a person from the opposite party comes
up with a good idea, it will be rejected if that party is not in power. Even with that said, I
think the Democrats compromise too much with Bush. A major disaster still in the works was the
confirmation of John Ashcroft as Attorney General. When he was Governor in Missouri, he refused
to integrate the schools even though the schools in the inter-city were falling apart and that is where
most of the black population lived. He was cited by a judge with "contempt" for his refusal to do so.

Now, Ashcroft is after everyone from the Middle East. You've heard about the Arabs and others that he
has detained. Well, he has detained young people from Israel for very minor offences such as selling trinkets on the streets.
