Well, I guess I'm slower than usual this Monday. I thought we gave money to the airlines because they NEEDED it. If not, what was the reason? As you correctly note, I was opposed to the bailout, period. If some of my money was given to a company/companies that did not need it, I want my money back. I really do.

FWIW, Airlines have gotten a huge cost break in price of fuel in recent months which should have a significant impact on the bottom line. I wish the government would measure this impact before sending out the next $2+ billion.

Good point. It's one thing to say that the government should assist an industry that was devastated through no fault of its own (or through fault of at most two airlines). I don't agree with the bailout, but I can understand it. But it's another thing entirely to say we're only going to assist those companies which have the least competent management.
