The more robust "full multimedia" MSM 5100 will offer peak 307 kbps on the downlink (not 384 kbps) at some time in the future - when and only when, cdma2000 Revision A is implemented. According to Oliver Valente that will be in mid-year 2003 in the case of Sprint PCS, and he also stated that Rev A will take average rates from 50-70 kbps on PCS to about 100 kbps. Revision A will probably be implemented in Korea well before the US. Nothing new there. By the time Rev A is implemented here I hope you have replaced your cdma mobile several times. - Eric -
