<< Does anyone know if it uses the 153kbs ms5000/ms5105, or the full multimedia 384kbs ms5100? >>

Most likely the MSM5105 given the time it takes to complete integration testing on the PCS network.

The more robust "full multimedia" MSM 5100 will offer peak 307 kbps on the downlink (not 384 kbps) at some time in the future - when and only when, cdma2000 Revision A is implemented.

According to Oliver Valente that will be in mid-year 2003 in the case of Sprint PCS, and he also stated that Rev A will take average rates from 50-70 kbps on PCS to about 100 kbps.

Revision A will probably be implemented in Korea well before the US. Nothing new there.

By the time Rev A is implemented here I hope you have replaced your cdma mobile several times.
