* Ethnic Humor *...I think that people should consider the intent of the writer in determining offensive humor or remarks. I believe ethnic jokes are geographically acceptable. When I used to live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian jokes were common, because that area had so many immigrants from that part of the world. And if you look at that stretch of land between Green Bay Wisconsin and Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. those above mentioned ethnic groups are a very significant part of the population in that area. There were a lot of jokes about those ethnic groups having a preference for the extreme cold of the UP rather than the heat of Florida. As it turns out cold weather is healthier than hot weather everywhere in the world. Bout time this thread got some life.... Regards, Jerome
