I'd guess the stabilized mobile device, but what would be even more spectacular would be an efficient Stirling engine. I've looked at these things, and it is a concept just waiting for someone to commoditize a low-delta (low heat differential) device. You could go from 5% fuel efficiency to a multiple of that.

This would change energy economics worldwide, if it were small and cheap, because it could exploit all kinds of low-level heat differences, especially solar, of at little as 30 degrees.

Kamen's a smart guy, w. background in medical devices, so I'll be watching Monday, thanks for the notice.
