Maybe. I guess it depends on the definition.

My dear Tim, when I use the term, imaginary friend, and as X, who coined the term, uses it, it refers to people who believe there's a god who intervenes in their lives. It does not apply to the rest of the believers, whether they be called deists or theists or just plain believers. Focus, already.
