Albert, the only way SSE2 is helping Intel is in the few benches that show the P4 as being faster than the Athlon and by doing that they will force AMD to include SSE2 in the Hammer. How much $$$ and time that involves is unknown to me but it has to be significant. Maybe the Hammer could have arrived 6 months earlier if it weren't for SSE2 support. That alone is worth a lot to Intel.
