I.N.Vester: My sense is that no one really thought a meaningful stimulus package would come out of Congress in the first place and if one did, it would come out far too late to have any meaningful effect on the economic recovery.
The sharp drop in price of oil and gas more than makes up for this. This is not going to be a market-mover.

At the time, I took into account the $B 56 in tax refunds, and another $60/$80 in stimulus, but the house proposal is not a stimulative package. The shortcomings might very well be covered by lower crude costs. The bulk of next year bull market is"ignited" by the package, but later, is expected to take on a life of its own, until we get to one of a number of scenarios, bulging balance of payments deficit, weakening dollar and a strapped consumer. That may take a solid 3 to 6 quarters.
