good question. i entered first position, small, at 10.70 today. was hoping it would dip to add. probably trader at this point, think 15-16 area short term, maybe 19-20 if market gets go go. short term chart is attractive: siliconinvestor.com - just entered the gap today from 13 to 15, ton of resistance at 17-18.
long term chart is pretty scarey:http://www.siliconinvestor.com/research/chart.gsp?lotemp=&period=180&chart1=bb&s=AMZN&compare=&time=week&i0=3&chart=bar&i1=6&scale=linear&i2=8&i3=1&rbv=1&wpr=0&cci=60&obv=5&dmi=10&macd2=26&macd1=12&sd=5&sk=12&mt=22&rsi=14&lr=25&bbpct=2&bbprd=10&ma1=5&ma2=20&macds=9&smaema=1
I think AMZN has potential to make a sustained move over the next 6-12 months if the fundies come in as they are being talked. still think YHOO is a stronger play than AMZN, AMZN being more speculative. but today was a breakout move for AMZN.
wisest course would probably be hold core position, trade around it. larry
